The Faircross Parade branch has been “transformed” with new features including a Costa Coffee Express, an enhanced bakery, and new refrigeration.
This branch, which supports 15 jobs, now offers eco-friendly refrigeration to help reduce Co-op’s carbon footprint.

Customers can expect a wider range of products, Co-op said.
Groceries can be ordered for home delivery through Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, or Co-op’s online shop.

Mariam Ali, Co-op area operations manager, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to invest in Barking.
“The store has been completely transformed, with a fresh new look and layout designed to enhance the shopping experience for our members and customers.”

Other services available in the branch include payment services through PayPoint, and soft plastic recycling for items such as crisp packets and biscuit wrappers.
