Fordham Park is among multiple parts of the area cordoned off today (December 10), following a knife incident the day before (December 9) at 9.37pm).
Police were called to a stabbing on Clifton Rise and medics arrived in four minutes after first being called.
A man was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital as a priority.
At the time of reporting, his condition is unknown.
Following the incident, a mum who wishes to remain anonymous said that she always picks up and drops her child to Deptford Green School due to her general concerns of the area.
Fordham Park is along the route that she takes on a daily basis to get to the school.
She said: “Today the police seem to be what appears to be looking for something in the grass.”
The mum added: “The park is closed off along with the road we go down to the school.
“I always take my child to school and pick them up due to worrying crime rate.”
Pictures at the scene show multiple officers searching the grass in the park with large sticks.
Tape has been stretched across much of the park.
Along with the park large sections have been taped off including Clifton Rise and Achilles Street.
However, it appears there particularly has been heavy presence in the park itself.
The Metropolitan Police has been approached for further information.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.37pm on Tuesday 9 December to reports of a stabbing on Clifton Rise, SE14.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first paramedic arrived in four minutes.
“We treated a man for stab wounds and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
