Church Elm Lane is set to close on Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10 so a tower crane on the site of a new residential development can be taken down by City Lifting Ltd.
The dismantling will take place between 7am and 8pm on both days and mean that no traffic can enter the entire length of Church Elm Lane, between its junction with Heathway and its junction with Siviter Way.
Smaller roads near the site, such as Vicarage Road, Church Street and Siviter Way, will also face partial closure over the weekend.

Pedestrians will also be prohibited from entering part of the road, but will have an alternative route signed via the footpath on the south side of the road.
Both Church Elm Lane bus stops – which serve the 173, 174, 175 and 673 bus routes – will be suspended, as will the parking on the road.
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place during the closure, while diversion routes will be maintained and signed.
The crane is currently set up at the site of Bryson House, at 131 Church Elm Lane, where the construction of 75 new flats is underway.
