Demolition works are well underway at Chippenham Road as part of a redevelopment project set to provide 138 new homes.
Aerial photos show that the site is now mostly clear, with a couple of buildings half demolished as of August 16.

Two diggers and several skips are also pictured on the site, which is surrounded by blue fencing.
Demolition of the empty properties in between Chippenham Road, Kings Lynn Drive and Dartfields started on July 19, using a crushing technique with “concrete nibblers” to reduce noise and vibration.
According to Havering Council, demolition is expected to take around 14 weeks to complete and will be split over two phases.

The works also mark the start of phase two of Havering Council and Wates Residential’s joint 12 Estates Regeneration Programme, which the Chippenham Road project is part of.
Cabinet members and council staff officially launched the second phase with a visit to the site on August 12.
Councillor Ray Morgon, leader of Havering Council, said: “It’s exciting to see the latest phase of this new development first-hand as the developers continue to work towards delivering more high-quality homes in the borough.

“There is an air of excitement as we gradually see the area being transformed to provide much-needed affordable homes, in a way that will help bring neighbours together and support their wellbeing.”

“This marks another step forward in the Joint Venture’s regeneration agenda and we hope it signals the commitment and purpose we bring to this programme.”
The 12 Estates scheme aims to provide 3,500 new homes in total and includes the Waterloo Estate project and the already completed Park Rise development.
