Police were called to the crash on the A406 westbound towards Chingford at around 5.40pm yesterday (December 29).
The pedestrian, in his 30s, died at the scene.
The family are being supported by specialist police officers and there have been no arrests.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At 17:39hrs on Monday, 29 December officers responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and lorry on the A406, N18, Westbound towards Chingford.
“The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
“The man’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
“No arrests have been made.”
