Imran Chowdury is accused of assisting Khalife, who fled HMP Wandsworth by attaching himself to the underside of a food delivery truck.
Chowdury was arrested in January 2024 and formally charged in December with assisting an escaped prisoner, according to the Metropolitan Police.
He is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
A 25-year-old woman who was arrested in February 2024 on suspicion of assisting an offender will face no further action.
