Last Tuesday, Dave Goodings asked Domino’s on X, formerly Twitter, what it would take to get unlimited pizza from them, and they replied by telling him to get a tattoo of their logo on him and then “we’ll talk”.
However, this all turned out to be an incredibly convincing April Fools prank.
If I said I’d do anything for unlimited pizza from Domino’s… how wild are we talking? 👀🍕 @Dominos_UK pic.twitter.com/LLwy5AT8fy

The 31-year-old pizza lover told Your Local Guardian: “I’m a massive fan of pizza.
“I usually eat two or three pizzas a week, but I try to balance it out by running and exercising to convince myself that it’s okay.
“And then it just came to me when I was sitting down one evening after a beer on a Friday night that it’d be a good idea to do a prank for April Fools this year.
“I contacted Old London Road Tattoos and Piercings in Kingston, and they were fully on board with the idea.”
Dave had already bought a convincing fake stick-on tattoo of the logo online, often used for stag and hen dos.
(Image: Dave Goodings) Dave and Old London Road Tattoos and Piercings arranged a time to stage photographs and videos of him pretending to get a tattoo, even wrapping cling film around his arm to make it more believable.

He added: “Since I’ve come up with the idea, I’ve decided to message Domino’s to see if they like the idea and they were on board too.
“They absolutely loved the idea and felt it could be a good April Fools.
“So, I staged the X post with them, and they replied saying ‘tattoo our logo and we’ll talk’.
“And from there, the reaction has been crazy, and I’ve never had any reaction like this before.”
As a content creator, Dave has previously pulled off several pizza-themed stunts, including setting a world record by bungee jumping into a lake to dip a pizza in 2024.
In an Instagram poll he launched, 84 per cent of followers urged him to go through with it.
People in the comments encouraged him to do it, while others told him to consider the circumstances.
Dave’s own family were kept in the dark that this was a prank.
He said: “When I phoned my family after the post, they were quite in shock to say the least.
“They were both trying to advise me not to do it.
“My mum said I’d be really stupid to get the tattoo, and she was more upset about it.
“My dad took a gentler approach and said it wasn’t a great idea.”
Dave admitted that in the past, he has found it difficult to pull off any jokes or pranks because he’s known for his jokey nature.
However, Dave claims that not one person has doubted him for this year’s prank and has seen the reaction as “hilarious”.
This morning (April 1), Dave posted photos and videos of the tattoo on Instagram and X, including an edited video, which he hopes will make the prank more believable due to the extreme lengths he’s gone to.
“It just goes to show,” he said, “don’t believe everything you see on social media.”
