Police received reports to the incident at a commercial premises on Ace Parage between 7pm and 10.45pm on December 6.
A large police presence was noted by the community.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “We have heard local reports of an alleged chemical incident at a commercial premises on Ace Parade, Chessington.
“A large police presence was noted by the community.
“We believe a male was injured, and that the incident was reported to police between 7pm and 10.45pm on December 6.
