Emergency services were called to Cherry Tree Lane shortly before 5.30am on March 29 with reports of an incident.
Officers were dispatched to the scene, where a man was found suffering from stab wounds near Rainham Road.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition and a crime scene was erected, with police remaining on site throughout the day.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police has confirmed today (March 30) that the victim is no longer fighting for his life.
His injuries have now improved and are not thought to be life-threatening.
There have yet to be any arrests made in connection to the stabbing.
