Peter Higgin, who established Punchdrunk Enrichment in 2008, set off from Ventnor, Isle of Wight on October 16 and aims to reach Wembley in just three days.
The ‘Founder to Future Challenge’ marks his 17 years with the charity and aims to raise £25,000 to support its work with children and families who have limited access to the arts.
Mr Higgin said: “Running from my hometown of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight to Punchdrunk Enrichment’s home in Wembley will be a full-circle moment and a brilliant bookmark to the 17 years I have spent with the company since co-founding it in 2008.”
Punchdrunk Enrichment creates transformational theatrical experiences for education, community, and family audiences.
The funds raised will help keep tickets affordable, offer subsidised school projects, and develop creative programmes for children.
Mr Higgin said the challenge is “not only a celebration of the past 17 years but a step towards sustaining its future,” and will help deliver “bold, imaginative experiences like our upcoming Fireside Tales, placing children at the heart of the story.”
