The 34-year-old man was named by the Met Police as Ruben Nunes, from Peterborough.
The incident happened at the junction of Chapel Close and Chantry Crescent at around 12.40pm yesterday (December 3).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found two men, in their 30s, injured.
Ruben Nunes was pronounced dead at the scene and the other man was taken to hospital.
His injuries are not deemed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder today (December 4).
He remains in custody.

Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing in the area, said: “This is a distressing incident and we understand the concern it will cause for the local community.
“Our thoughts are with Ruben’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“If you live nearby, you can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while officers carry out their investigation.
“This will include an increase of officers on patrol – please do speak to them if you have any worries or concerns.
