The incident between a car and pedestrians happened at the junction of Chapel Close and Chantry Crescent at around 12.40pm yesterday (December 3).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found two men, in their 30s, injured.
One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other man was taken to hospital.
His injuries are not deemed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing in the area, said the police force is keeping an “open mind” in relation to the crash.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Officers were called to a collision between a car and pedestrians on High Road, Willesden at 12.44hrs on Wednesday, 3 December.
“A man in his 30s sadly died at the scene. His family are being supported by officers.
“Another man, in his 30s, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
“No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries continue.
DCS Luke Williams said: “This is a distressing incident and we understand the concern it will cause for the local community.
“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“If you live nearby, you can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while officers carry out their investigation.
“At this early stage we are keeping an open mind in relation to what occurred.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.41pm (3 December) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Chapel Close and Chantry Crescent, NW10.
“We sent resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
