In an effort to manage increased demand for X-rays at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the hospital will be temporarily changing the times that people can attend for X-rays requested by GPs, except if they have had an injury to the pelvis and/or spine.
From today, the radiology department at The Princess Alexandra Hospital will only accept walk-in X-ray requests from GPs between 8am and 12pm on Monday to Friday.
There are alternative locations for people to have walk-in X-rays requested by GPs at St Margaret’s Community Hospital in Epping and the Herts and Essex Community Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford.
The opening hours for walk-in X-ray requests at Herts and Essex Community Hospital is 8am to 7:30pm on Monday to Friday and 9am to 4:30pm on weekends. These hours are the same at St Margaret’s Community Hospital too.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital is just 8am to 12pm, except if they have had an injury to the pelvis and/or spine, and on weekdays only.
