40 firefighters were called at around 11am today (October 30) to a fire on Sangley Road – believed to be at The Kitchen Network.
The fire “significantly damaged” the ground floor of the three-storey building, which contained a takeaway and flats above.
Three people left the property before firefighters arrived and there have been no reports of any injuries.
Nearby roads were closed, including on Plassy Road, part of the A205 South Circular.
These have now been lifted but some traffic disruption remains.
Crews in six engines from Lewisham, Forest Hill, Greenwich, Lee Green, Deptford and New Cross fire stations brought the blaze under control by around 12.15pm.
