A murder investigation was launched after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death on Rushey Green just after 3am on Wednesday, October 15.
Tributes shared on TikTok indicate he went by the name Sanch or the nickname Stains.
The man was found injured near Catford Food Centre and taken to hospital, where he later died.
Dozens of people shared heartbreaking messages online following the attack.
One person wrote: “RIP my brother, I’m so lost without you.”
Another called the stabbing “so meaningless and senseless.”
Just a few hours later, police were called to Farley Mews, near Mountsfield Park, at 8.06am following reports of another stabbing.
The park is just a short distance from Rushey Green.
A man was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital.
As of October 17, police have confirmed they are not treating the two incidents as linked at this stage.
The man stabbed in Farley Mews remains in hospital receiving treatment – his condition is not yet known.
There have been no arrests for either the Rushey Green or Farley Mews stabbings.
