Environmental health officers from Carshalton have been busy this fortnight visiting businesses across the area to see if they are meeting hygiene requirements.

Based on guidelines set by the Food Standards Agency, inspectors look to see how clean the facilities are; what food safety management procedures are in place and how hygienic food handling is.

Ratings are then dished out from five to zero — with the higher score the better the result.

Five — Very Good

Dottys Teahouse at 108 High Street, Carshalton, rated 5 on May 19, 2025.

Leo Academy Trust – Leo Catering at Cheam Park Farm Junior School, Kingston Avenue, rated 5 on May 15, 2025.

Play BC Preschool at Elm Grove Hall, Butter Hill, rated 5 on May 20, 2025.

Prezzo at 26 – 30 Station Way, Cheam, rated 5 on May 21, 2025.

Sassis In The Grove at The Grove Lodge, 1 High Street, rated 5 on May 19, 2025.

Spill The Beans Coffee Shop at Church Hall, Carshalton Beeches Baptist Free Church, rated 5 on May 16, 2025.
