Carpet City, based in Tottenham, was founded in 1999 by Zalmy Horowitz as a solo floor-laying venture.
Mr Horowitz, alongside his wife, Caroline, aimed to “create something extraordinary,” with a strong focus on supplying high-quality flooring and exceptional customer service.
The business has expanded steadily over the years, moving from its original home-based operations to offices, and finally to its showroom and warehouse in Markfield Road.

The company now offers a range of luxury carpets, engineered wood, and luxury vinyl tile solutions from top brands.
Their team includes knowledgeable sales professionals and expert fitters, and they use state-of-the-art room visualiser technology to help clients and interior designers plan flooring projects.

To mark their 25 years in business, Carpet City has planned an exclusive event for interior designers on February 10.
This event will include a VIP tour of their showroom and an opportunity to meet representatives from leading manufacturers.

Carpet City continues to be a family-run business, with Mr Horowitz’s son David, managing the day-to-day operations.
