Call the Midwife’s Stephen McGann teases series 14 finale
He went on to say: “One of the old sisters, Sister Hilda, played by the brilliant Fenella Woolgar, comes back into the series, so you will see her again.
“There’s a sense of things being rounded up beautifully, but there’s also, as you know with Call the Midwife, there’s drama there, too. There’s heartache, as well.”
But that’s not the only recent Call the Midwife news as Megan Cusack has confirmed she is leaving her role as Nancy Corrigan after four years.
Nancy is set to marry Roger Noble (Conor O’Donnell) in the finale, following her absence from the current series.
It comes after the 2024 Christmas special, where Call the Midwife fans saw Roger become part of Nancy’s exit storyline as the couple departed for Surrey.

While on This Morning, Stephen also teased about Nancy and Roger’s wedding without giving too much away.
It comes as his wife Heidi Thomas who created the series seemed to be inspired by a special family occasion.

He explained: “What I can tell you, and I’m trying not to give spoilers. What I can say is there’s a sequence on the big day which involves rain pouring down.
“My son was married last year, and when we were arriving, it was absolutely in torrents of rain and I think Heidi drew a little inspiration from that.”
Call the Midwife season 14 finale airs on Sunday, March 2 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm.
