It comes as shop owner and Mayor Violet (played by Annabelle Apsion) confront some tense situations.
First-look photos for the new series see Mayor Violet attempting to calm down the situation as activists protest on the Isle of Dogs.
Sharing on Instagram, the official Call the Midwife page wrote: “In our first episode the Isle of Dogs erupts in protest – but when Mayor Violet attempts to calm the agitators, she discovers trouble on her own doorstep…”
Reacting to the post, fans of the BBC drama responded: “I am so looking forward to it can’t wait.”

What to expect from series 14 of Call the Midwife
The latest series of Call the Midwife, sees the show enter the 1970s with a bang, as the nurses must help support a pregnant teenage girl whose parents believe in an immaculate conception.
Elsewhere, protests and demonstrations are rising in London as activists on the Isle of Dogs blockade access to the island.
