Police were called to Calbourne Avenue, Elm Park, just after 9pm on Saturday (March 22) after reports of a group fight involving “a number of teenagers”.
A spokesperson for the Met Police has said that when officers tried to engage with the young people they became “aggressive” towards them.
Three teenagers were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assaulting emergency workers and taken to an east London police station.
They will return for questioning later today (March 23), after being bailed last night.
The Met confirmed that the officers who were assaulted were “do not require hospital treatment” and were treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service.

A Met spokesperson added: “Separately, two individuals, including a 16-year old male and a 19-year old male sustained suspected knife injuries and were taken to hospital where their injuries were deemed neither life changing nor life threatening.
“They continue to assist police with their enquiries.
“An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.”
The Recorder has seen a video appearing to show dozens of teenagers screaming and running out of a sports hall after the fight.
