The work, which started in July, was part of a wider plan to improve the station and included renewing large sections of platforms that have been in place for more than half a century.
The project also saw new flooring installed in the waiting shelter on platform one.

Further improvement work is set to take place in the coming weeks, c2c said, with the station’s footbridge set to undergo strengthening work.
This will mean a temporary closure for customers.
Donna Thorpe, interim asset and property director for c2c, said: “The redecking of Rainham’s two platforms will last for decades to come and we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all our customers for bearing with us while journeys were interrupted to accommodate the works.
“Special appreciation goes to residents for their patience as there was a significant construction team presence onsite.
“These improvements are intended to support the station’s continued operation and enhance the customer experience in the years ahead.”
During the improvement works, a limited timetable operated with rail replacement buses between Rainham, Purfleet, and Dagenham Dock.
A normal timetable resumed from Sunday, August 24, and the station toilets and coffee shop will be back in operation for when services start in the week commencing Monday, September 1.
Extra staff were also available onsite during this period to assist customers.
