The application was submitted by agent Modupe Alesh on behalf of applicant Yetunde Adewusi and validated by Havering Council on September 29.
It proposes the change of use of unit C of Brooklands House in Brooklands Approach from use B1/B2 to “commercial kitchen with hot food takeaway”.
It is unclear what type of takeaway this may be or what sort of food will be cooked here.
According to a planning document, the unit will operate primarily as a “delivery led-kitchen with limited customer pick-up” and no eat-in seating.
The forecourt will accommodate delivery drivers with six cycle spaces.

It will also be equipped with a “comprehensive odour, noise and delivery management regime”.
The takeaway will use the existing built floorspace and no additional construction would be needed.
No enlargement of the unit is required and the only external alteration would be the installation of an extraction flue rising to roof level.
This would be “coloured to match surrounding materials” ensuring a “minimal and recessive impact” on the appearance of the building and streetscape.
The document highlights proposed opening hours to be 11am-11pm on Monday through to Saturday and 11am-10pm on Sunday and Bank Holidays.
It adds: “The design is functional, visually unobtrusive, and supported by robust environmental management.”
A decision is expected to be made by Havering Council by November 24.
