Data analysed by the Mail Online ranked 1,115 areas across the country and the car thefts rates reported by the DVLA in 2024.
According to data, Beckenham had the highest rate of car thefts in the borough last year, with 19 stolen cars which had the equivalent car theft rate of 505 per 100,000 cars.
Beckenham was ranked nationally in 10th position for having the highest car theft rates.
Whist Beckenham had the highest theft rates worked out per 100,000 cars, the area with the highest number of actual car thefts was Bromley.
Bromley had the highest number of actual reported car thefts in the borough, with a total of 238 last year, which would be the equivalent theft rate of 423 per 100,000 cars.
In total the number of reported car thefts in Bromley last year was 508, combining the areas of Beckenham, Bromley, West Wickham, Chislehurst and Orpington.
