A SL3 bus crashed at the junction of Bromley Road and Watts Lane at around 2pm on Tuesday (November 4).
The London Ambulance Service attended and two people were treated at the scene – one was taken to hospital and one woman was discharged at the scene.
The woman was travelling on the bus to Bromley with her young son and wishes to stay anonymous.

“It happened really quickly – we were on the way to Bromley and one minute we were on the road and then we were driving through the trees in the middle of Chislehurst,” she recounted.
“We didn’t even notice the bus swerve so it must have happened really quickly.
“It was quite scary being on the road and then off the road.”
The woman was sat at the front of the upper deck with her son.
She said the bus didn’t hit anything or anyone but seemed to swerve into the trees on the side of the road.

She said that she “hit her leg” during the incident and she’s had some “residual pain” but her son “seems ok”.
She added: “Children are very resilient – he said he’s got a bit of pain so I’d like to get that checked out.”
Pictures provided by Facebook group MY Bromley show the Superloop bus with a damaged bumper.
There were roughly 20 passengers on board the bus at the time according to the woman.

“Everyone got off the bus and got on the one behind us like it was nothing,” she said.
“It was quite a weird, surreal experience.”
She said the fire brigade were first to arrive, followed by the police and then the paramedics.
“It was all a bit hectic,” she said.
“I waited for the incident to be reported because I was in shock and my anxiety was quite bad.
“I didn’t want to leave without knowing it had been reported properly and to have the information for my own reference.”
The woman and her son were then picked up by a family member and headed home.
