Bromley Council is considering plans to change hours in the BEC controlled parking zone (CPZ) from the current 8.30am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday, to a new timespan of 8.30am to midnight throughout the week.
The proposal has been outlined in a public notice for The Bromley (Parking Places) (BEC CPZ) Control Time Extension Order 2004 (Amendment No. 100) Order 2025, which would amend the existing order under Sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Residents and stakeholders who wish to object to the proposed changes have until January 14, 2026, to submit comments.
Objections can be sent in writing to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1DP, or via email with the reference ADE(TP)/RP/TT00/T819.
Comments submitted as part of the consultation process may be made publicly available under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.
The extended hours would mean that parking restrictions would apply until midnight, rather than ending at 8pm.
