Six fire engines and 40 firefighters were called to a flat fire on Constable Mews just after 11am today (May 1).

One man was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The Brigade received eight calls about the fire and crews from Bromley, Lewisham, Forest Hill and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
The fire was brought under control at 1.36pm.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team.
A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: “Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a flat fire on Constable Mews in Bromley.
“Firefighters tackled a fire where part of a flat on the third floor of a building was alight, one man was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
“The Brigade received eight calls about the fire and mobilised crews from Bromley, Lewisham, Forest Hill and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
“The fire was brought under control at 1.36pm.
“The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team.”
