The sell-out event on March 7 at the club’s Hayes venue marked a major moment for grassroots boxing in the borough, with local fighters eager to showcase their talent.
Bromley ABC and its sister club Orpington & District ABC put in a strong performance, securing nine wins from twelve bouts against tough competition.
The return of Bromley ABC is a significant boost for the sport in the area, bringing back a club that was once a central part of the local boxing scene.
Having been closed for many years, the club has been revived through the dedication of former members, relatives, and community support.
Now, with a renewed mission and strong backing, Bromley ABC is looking to re-establish itself as a key hub for amateur boxing.
Vice President Ben Reed said: “It was great to see clubs from across London and Kent attend. The show was very well matched and was a sell-out.”

Originally founded in 1938 by coach Harry Taylor and Pat Dowers, Bromley ABC was once based where Bromley FC now stands.
The club’s ambitions go beyond its own revival, with plans to reopen other boxing clubs across the borough, including those previously run by the late Harry Taylor, such as Great Elms Bromley and The Spitfire.
Bromley ABC and Orpington & District ABC in Petts Wood are both affiliated with England Boxing, ensuring a safe and competitive environment for aspiring fighters.
The club is now welcoming new members and encouraging local businesses to get involved in supporting its future.
Reed added: “Any businesses that would like to sponsor the clubs, please get in touch.”
With the return of Bromley ABC, boxing in the borough is experiencing a resurgence, offering young athletes more opportunities to train and compete.
