Detectives believe a suspect then entered Brockwell Park from the Brixton Water Lane entrance at 5:15am on March 20 and left by the junction of Norwood Road and Dulwich Road after about 30 minutes.Troy Ramsundar (Image: Met Police)
Detectives are trying to find a blue Herschel rucksack with brown strapping and a pink or orange striped lining.
The backpack belonged to the suspect and it is believed he may have discarded it in or around Brockwell Park.
The suspect was wearing and may have also discarded a dark outer jacket, light (possibly grey) hooded top, dark face-mask, dark trousers, dark shiny shoes and gloves (possibly red or brown).
Detectives are also keen to speak to anyone who was at the bus stop on Brixton Road, stop Q, between 4.30am and 5:15am on March 20.
This bus stop is served by the 2, 3, 196, 415, 432, N2 and N3 buses.
