Shabazz Graves, 29, of Glazebrook Close in Southwark was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession of ammunition without a certificate.
He appeared in Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday (June 27).
It comes after a person claimed to have been threatened by a man with a gun in Coldharbour Lane in Brixton around 1am on Thursday (June 26).
The police made an arrest “within five minutes”.
There were no reported injuries.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Shabazz Graves, 29 (14.05.1996) of Glazebrook Close, Southwark was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession of ammunition without a certificate.
“He appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 27 June and was remanded in custody.
“He is set to appear at the Inner London Crown Court on Friday, 25 July.
“This is in relation to an incident at 00:50hrs on Thursday, 26 June on Coldharbour Lane, Brixton where a person reported being threatened by a man with a gun.
“Within five minutes a man was arrested and was later charged with the above.
“There were no reports of injuries.”
