The unnamed dog, which was saved from a swimming pool in Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, won the Romcom Rover award at the The FIDO Awards 2025.
The FIDOS (For Incredible Dogs On Screen), presented this year at the British Film Institute Stephen Street in London on Sunday (February 23), recognise the finest onscreen dog performances over the past year.
The fourth and final Bridget Jones instalment, based on the books by Helen Fielding, follows Bridget (Renée Zellweger) five years after the death of her great flame Mark Darcy.
Now a middle-aged single mother living in Hampstead, her eye is caught by Roxster, a fictitious Hampstead Heath ranger played by 27-year-old Leo Woodall.
Advised by her doctor, played by Emma Thompson, who lives in West Hampstead, to go back to work, she is invited to her colleague Talitha’s birthday bash, which she is expecting Roxster to attend.

Bridget is holding Talitha’s dog at the party when it jumps from her arms into a swimming pool, at which point Roxster makes his grand entrance.
The event was hosted by the founder of Palm Dog and FIDOS, Toby Rose. Actresses Michelle Collins and Monica Dolan and TV and radio personality Clive Anderson presented awards.
Other winners included Peggy the Pug Chinese Crested cross, who took home the Comedy Canine award for her role as Dogpool to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in Deadpool and Wolverine.
Stunt dog Kelpie won the Blockbuster Bowser award for playing Jean Claude in David Leitch’s The Fall Guy.
Therapy Dogs Nationwide won a special Dogmanitarian award for its work, in which volunteers take their own dogs into schools, nursing homes and hospitals to provide comfort and stimulation.
All winners received a specially engraved dog collar designed by Creature Clothes.
The FIDO organisers said: “The FIDOS are more than an awards ceremony; they celebrate the powerful bond between dogs and humans, dedicated to making the world a more dog-friendly space, one paw at a time.”
