Havering Council is set to review Brewdog’s premises licence at a sub-committee meeting next Tuesday (October 7) after the venue applied to supply alcohol for longer and change the live music hours.
The bar in Station Road is hoping to start selling alcohol from 10am each day – two hours earlier than currently – and host live music until 11pm outdoors, seven days a week.
The proposed change also affects the indoor live music, which Brewdog hopes to play until 11pm on Sunday to Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
This is only 15 minutes more than its current licensing hours and would bring the live music hours in line with the recorded music.

While no objections were lodged against the variation by residents or neighbouring businesses, Havering’s environmental health noise team raised “concern” over the outdoor entertainment, set to be performed on the venue’s rooftop terrace.
In the objection, public protection officer George Pater said the music “may affect residents living in close proximity” to Brewdog, and could cause a “public nuisance”.
He suggested additional sound control measures – including the installation of a “sound limiting device” – which, if adopted, would mean the noise team would have “no objection to make”.
However, the council report to be presented at the meeting next Tuesday revealed that the applicant declined to accept this proposal.
