Central Connect’s 60 service began operating on September 1, replacing the former First Bus 37 and ensuring that residents in Warley and Pilgrims Hatch remain linked to Brentwood town centre.
Peter Nathanail, managing director at Transport Made Simple, said: “We are delighted to introduce the 60 service for residents of Brentwood.
“With First withdrawing the 37, many people may have been left without a connection in Pilgrims Hatch and Warley.
“By stepping in we can ensure that local communities can continue to travel sustainably, affordably, and with confidence in the reliability of their transport links, avoiding potential growth in congestion around the centre of Brentwood.”
The route of the new 60 service (Image: Central Connect) The 60 runs hourly from Monday to Saturday, starting at 6.40am and finishing at 7.42pm.
It provides a link to the Elizabeth line for onward travel to central London or further into Essex via Shenfield.
The service is fully wheelchair accessible.
Concessionary passes are accepted and contactless payments can be made by card or mobile.
Tickets can also be purchased in advance online or through the MyTrip app.
