The proposals, submitted for land at the northern edge of Syon Park in Brentford, include a food and drink space and changing facilities within the container-style clubhouse.
The application, submitted by Northumberland Estates and Padel Shift, outlines plans for five padel courts, three under a canopy and two outdoors, as well as a petanque court and supporting amenities.
The proposal covers a 3,012 square metre site currently used as a storage and maintenance compound for the Syon Park estate.
The submission was recorded on Tuesday, November 18, and the public consultation period runs until Friday, January 23.
If approved, construction is expected to begin in May and be completed by August.
The scheme also includes two accessible parking spaces and six cycle parking spaces.
No existing buildings occupy the site and full-time employment is expected to increase by three jobs once the facility is operational.
The shipping containers would be clad in larch timber and house the clubhouse, refreshment area and toilets.
The canopy over the main courts would be built using a steel frame with larch cladding and a corrugated metal roof.
The facility would operate daily from 7am to 10pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
The application states that no residential units are affected or included in the plans, no new water connections are proposed, the site is not considered contaminated and the proposals do not involve the disposal of trade waste or effluents.
The development would involve a change of use for metropolitan open land currently designated as park and garden space.
