In a new list published by Betway, the UK’s top 10 food markets have been officially revealed, with London’s Borough Market earning itself the top spot, and also joins other London markets on the list including Seven Dials Market and Maltby Street Market.
The list was created analysing factors including the number of Google reviews, Instagram hashtags, TikTok videos and Google search volume to find the UK’s best.

With a history dating back over 1,000 years, when a market was first set up at the foot of London Bridge, this market has been serving Londoners for many years, although the current market was first opened in the mid-1700s.
Today this market features a mix of 100 stalls, restaurants, bars and shops, ranging from produce and sweet treats to Michelin-starred fine dining.
The ethos of the market, now a charity run by a board of volunteer trustees, is to showcase food that is good for people and the environment without compromising on taste.

The market is also home to Roast, which was rated in the Sunday Times list for the UK’s top 25 roast dinners, as well as Turnips with Tomas Lidakevicius, which received three rosettes in the AA Rosette Awards 2023, offering an alfresco dining experience using locally sourced produce.
The market is best known on TikTok for being a place to find the viral strawberries and begum chocolate which have garnered millions of views on TikTok, as well as the popular Humble Crumble stand serving novelty flavours of crumble dessert.
