A licensing application has been entered to Havering Council by applicant Boka By Palms Ltd, seeking a premises license.
Boka opened inside The Palms Hotel in Southend Arterial Road in August, as one of the latest additions to the site in an extensive refurbishment.
The ongoing works to the venue are reported to have cost millions of pounds.

According to the application document, the Mediterranean-inspired restaurant is seeking approval for a number of licensable activities, including films, live music, recorded music, late night refreshment, and the supply of alcohol.
Boka is open from 4pm to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, and from 4pm to 12am on Friday and Saturday.
The premises licence application is now under consideration by the council, and any representations should be made in writing by December 17.
