Jason Romeo, 20, died after being stabbed outside in Bodney Street last Tuesday (February 18) at 5.59pm.
While three people have been charged in connection with murder, police are continuing to search for another man in connection with the death.
A Metropolitan Police appeal has revealed that officers would like to speak to 25-year-old Renaldo Roberts.
Roberts has connections across Hackney and Dagenham, the force said.
Police have warned to not approach him in public if seen, but to instead call 999.
Renaldo Roberts (Image: Met Police) Detective Superintendent Kelly Allen of Specialist Crime North said “This investigation has moved quickly with officers arresting four men within five days.
“We are now in the position to release Renaldo Robert’s details, who we would like to speak with to assist with our enquiries.”
She added: “Please do not approach him.”
Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Renaldo Roberts is asked to contact the police on 999 as soon as possible, quoting 5635/18Feb.
Who has been arrested and charged?
Two Hackney men and one man from Walthamstow have been charged with murder and appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court today (February 24).
This involves:
- Raynolph Asante, 22, of Pembury Road in Hackney.
- Travis Mitchell, 21, of Bodney Road in Hackney
- Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21, of Williams Avenue in Walthamstow.
On Sunday (February 23), an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Increased police presence
A section 60 stop-and-search order was authorised over last weekend, giving police the power to search people without reasonable suspicion.
Detective Superintendent Vicky Tunstall of Central East Command Unit said that officers will continue to carry out increased patrols in the area.
She added: “I’d encourage residents to discuss any concerns they may have with officers on patrol.”
