Hands-on activities show cycling for travel, fitness and fun in an action-packed day on September 13, with BMX stunt shows and cycling demonstrations.
An exhibition promoting cycling is being put on by the Romford Business Improvement District (BID) with Havering Council to promote cycling with training schemes and strategy on how to stay active.
“People of all ages and abilities can enjoy cycling,” the BID’s director Julie Frost said.
“Our cycle paths and scenic routes for commuting encourage more people to get in the saddle.”
A free bike servicing and repairs by Doctor Bike is coupled with guidance from Cycle Confident trainers, while retailers and suppliers are offering demonstrations and a try-before-you-buy scheme.
A free bike marking registration takes place from noon to 2pm in collaboration with the police and the National Cycle Database to deter theft and help get stolen bikes returned to their owners using a QR code system.
Bike Fest 2025 will be outside Tollgate House from 10am to 4pm in Market Place.
