Zelah, 25, had faced the public vote alongside Richard Storry and Farida Khalifa following a tense face-to-face nomination earlier this week.
He was known for his careful approach towards fellow contestants, openly sharing his experience as a transgender man, and responding calmly to Caroline Monk’s controversial remarks, which led to her receiving a formal warning.
His mum, secondary school teacher Maya Glasson, encouraged viewers to support him during the week.
Maya said: “He’s very trusting, and that has sometimes made things difficult for him in the house.
“He’s the underdog, and I just wanted people to give him their support.”
During the eviction announcement, Zelah appeared visibly shocked by the audience’s boos, receiving the strongest reaction of the three contestants up for eviction.
Housemate Jenny Baird could be heard reacting in surprise.
As he said goodbye to the other contestants, he told them: “I don’t think they like me very much.”
As he left the house, Zelah ran down the podium stairs to hug his girlfriend Francesca, before returning to speak to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best.
He said: “I don’t know what to say, I’ve forgotten how to speak,” and admitted he “had a feeling” he might be the one to leave.
At the start of the 2025 run of the series, Zelah was the most popular housemate and was generally well-received by the public.
He was saved by viewers during an earlier eviction against Bromley Pizza Hut manager Gani at the start of October.
Big Brother continues tomorrow (November 2) on ITV2 at 9pm.
