Darlington Nuwertey, 34, of Hanover Way, appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 15.
He was charged with seven sex offences – two charges of rape and five charges of engaging in sexual activity with a girl in abuse of a position of trust.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between March and December this year.
Nuwerty was not asked to enter pleas during the hearing.
His case was sent to Snaresbrook Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing in January.
Nuwerty was remanded in custody until then.
