The mechanical performer named Titan the robot will appear on Broadway Bexleyheath on Saturday, August 16, with three free shows taking place throughout the day.
Known for his comedy, dancing and booming voice, the robot has become a regular fixture at major events around the world – and now he’s coming to the high street for one day only.
No booking is needed for the performances, which are open to all ages.
Alongside the shows, children can take part in robot-making workshops, where they’ll build their own balsa wood robot puppets to take home. Tickets for the workshop go live on the Broadway EventBrtie page at 8am on Sunday, August 10, and are expected to sell out quickly.
The robot is the creation of UK company Cyberstein Robotics, which has performed in more than 50 countries, including appearances at the Winter Olympics and New York Fashion Week. He also recently featured on Britain’s Got Talent.
The event is supported by Bexleyheath BID, which works to promote the town centre and support local businesses through events, street improvements and community initiatives.
The BID has been active since 2011 and includes around 230 shops, restaurants and services in the area.
