Emergency services were called to Broadway at around 4.10am on Monday, August 25, after reports of a man in cardiac arrest.
Paramedics attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Forensics remain working on the scene, with a cordon in place.
The Metropolitan Police said an investigation is under way and officers are appealing for information.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to a report of a man in cardiac arrest in Broadway, Bexleyheath at 0410hrs on Monday, 25 August.
“A man in his 20s was sadly pronounced deceased.
“His death is being treated as unexpected and an investigation is ongoing.
