The data looks at pupils’ average scores in reading and maths, as well as other performance indicators such as the percentage of pupils meeting expected standards as well as achieving at a higher standard.
We have not included special schools in this list.
Al-Noor Voluntary Aided Muslim Primary School in Green Lane was ranked as the best performing school as it had the highest percentage of pupils meeting expected standards with 88 per cent.
However, only ten per cent were achieving at a higher standard, which is a lower markup than 25 of the other ranked schools.
Pupils averaged a reading score of 108 and a maths score of 109 at Al-Noor Primary School.
The expected standard for both reading and maths is a score of 100 and anything over 109 is considered a higher standard.
The following four schools in the rankings each had 87 per cent of pupils meeting expected standards although Cleveland Road Primary School was ranked second due to 25 per cent of students achieving at a higher standard.
Reading and maths scores of 110 and 111 respectively were the joint highest in the borough, alongside Our Lady of Lourdes RC Primary School, which placed third in the rankings.
At the other end of the rankings, St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School in Cranbrook Road, ranked lowest out of the schools with available data.
A total of 61 per cent of pupils met expected standards and only seven per cent achieved at a higher standard.
The school also registered the lowest scores for reading and maths with 104 and 103 respectively, although both are still above the expected standard of 100.
