The Morgan, in Clydesdale Way, is taking part in The Big Pub Quiz, a nationwide competition run by pub chain Marston’s.
The quiz kicks off on Thursday, May 1 at 8pm, and continues every Thursday until May 22.
Paddy will be reading out questions live over the pub’s sound system, with players taking part individually using their phones.
Each quiz is free to enter, and guests will need a fully charged device and internet connection to join in.
Participants will score points based on how quickly they answer, but wrong answers to certain “evil questions” can lose them points.
One pub each week will be crowned the Smartest Pub in the UK, based on its players’ average scores.
The winning pub will receive up to £1,000 from Marston’s Charitable Foundation to donate to a local cause.
The top scorer in each venue will also win a £50 voucher, and one overall winner at the end of the month will get £5,000 in cash.
To be in with a shot at the top prize, players need to register with the same email address each week.

The Morgan is a large, family-friendly pub just off the A2016, near Belvedere station.
It has a beer garden, a kids’ play area, and serves a popular weekend carvery with all the trimmings.
The pub also offers electric car charging, Amazon lockers, and full accessibility.

Quiz nights at The Morgan run on May 1, 8, 15 and 22, with questions starting promptly at 8pm.
