Rachel Mason, 27, fell in love with seven-month-old Kintamani pup Peanut and has since been on a mission to find her a forever home.
The animal lover spotted the stray while on a morning beach walk with a friend earlier this month in what appeared to be a bad way- looking very hungry and thirsty.
When they came back to check on Peanut the next day, they saw her crawled up in the sea with very severe injuries after being attacked by two or three dogs.
Rachel took her straight to the vet where she discovered that Peanut needed 17 open wounds stitched, was suffering from mild anemia, had low platelet levels, and had bleeding in her lungs.
The injured pup remained in medical care for three days, where Rachel made the decision to try and find her a safe home.
She said: “She seemed really in a bad way. She was hungry and thirsty.
“We thought that she was just hiding in the sea so that no dogs came near her, but she was bleeding all over and had lots of deep wounds. It was as if she was ready to let the sea take her.”

After reaching out to many local charities, Rachel discovered that they were “overwhelmed” with dogs, so she decided it was time to take matters into her own hands.
The animal lover says that Bali is not a safe place for dogs, so she is working on getting the puppy brought back to the UK where a family friend has agreed to adopt her permanently.
Rachel added: “In Bali she would be at risk of being used for the dog meat trade or sacrificial ceremonies. There are also many cases of dogs being poisoned to get them off the streets.
“It is an awful place for a dog.
“I need to find her the perfect home. It will be such a weight off my shoulders to have her on home soil and know that she is safe.
“For me it has been very eye opening and my time in Bali is coming more to an end. It has shown me what is out there, and it is just horrible really.”

Having looked after Peanut for so long and fallen in love, Rachel says she would have loved to have adopted the dog herself.
But, living part time between England and Bali- and with family members who suffer from dog allergies- she is unable to take her on.
However, she says that it has been amazing taking care of the pup and that she is the “perfect dog”.
Rachel, who works remotely as an appointment setter and mentor, said: “She is literally the cutest dog ever. She is really loyal.
“If you can imagine the perfect dog it is her.
“She is so cute, she rides on the front of my scooter and comes with me everywhere.
“She is still so fearless and walks up to other dogs and licks their faces. She is such a sweet girl.
“I have fostered a dog before, but I have never had an experience like this.
“It was amazing. She was so shy when we first found her, and then she started smiling and her tail started wagging.”
A fundraising page to pay for Peanut’s journey to the UK has already raised over £2,000 of their £3,000 goal.
The money will fund getting the dog out of Bali and into her forever home, with any extra cash being donated to Bali shelters.
Rachel added: “I went through this whole process feeling really alone. I thought I was going to have to stay in Bali forever because I couldn’t leave her or take her home with me.
“I thought I was going to have to beg everyone to donate, but the second day when I woke up we were over halfway there. It was the best feeling in the world.
“The money will go towards getting Peanut to the UK and into a loving forever home.”
