A fire broke out at Beam Parklands, in Clemence Road, on Monday (July 14) – engulfing around eight hectares of grass, shrubland, trees, fences and garden furniture.
Drone photos show the extent of the damage, with the fire stopping just short of numerous residential properties.
Group commander for London Fire Brigade (LFB), Matt Hayward, said the 20 fire engines and around 125 firefighters called to the scene worked “extremely hard” to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

He said: “The fire had reached some garden fences, sheds and garden furniture.
“As well as our jets, we used wildfire beaters to beat the flames and stop them from reaching the properties.
“We also thank Barking and Dagenham Council who had put fire breaks in place, which helped stop the fire from reaching the properties.
“We also had great support from our blue light colleagues, Essex Fire and Rescue Service and the London Ambulance Service hazardous area response team.”
Fire crews from Dagenham, Hornchurch, Wennington, Romford and other surrounding fire stations were called to Beam Parklands at around 6.30pm on Monday.
Residents were evacuated from their homes as a precaution, but eventually allowed to return at around 9pm.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the LFB.
