According to the shortlist announcement, Be Richmond has been recognised for its programme of year-round initiatives aiming to boost visitor numbers, back local businesses and increase community involvement across Richmond Upon Thames. Judges for the awards are said to seek entries that show creativity, strong partnerships and measurable benefits for businesses.

The Seasonal Campaigns category celebrates BIDs that deliver innovative, high-impact activity around key calendar moments, with the winners to be revealed on Monday, February 9 at the BID Awards event hosted in central London.
From 2024 to 2025, Be Richmond’s seasonal campaigns included a range of events and trails.
Projects listed as part of its submission feature the Easter Teddy Bear Hunt, described as an interactive trail driving family footfall and dwell time across BID businesses. “Be In Bloom” took place in August 2024 and marked the 250th anniversary of the first brick laid in the construction of Richmond Bridge, celebrating the story of Richmond’s remarkable history and the USPs of its green space and riverside habitats.

Other initiatives included “Be Explorers”, a summer outdoor nature trail linking green spaces with town centre businesses and “Be Spooky” at Halloween, featuring a pop-up pumpkin patch, themed competition and family activities during October half-term.
Remembrance in Richmond was marked by “Be Remembered”, a community installation featuring 500 handmade poppies from The Poppy Factory and content to highlight Richmond’s remarkable history.
The festive season featured a lights switch-on event, a Nutcracker Trail and a ‘12 Days of Christmas’ giveaway as part of the “Be Festive” campaign.
Winners of the Seasonal Campaigns category are due to be revealed at the awards event.
