Anisa Khan, who owns Sutton’s Bombay Pizza, posted on her TikTok account about what she has done to help her business grow.
The owner, who was a runner-up on this year’s Apprentice, said she handwrote thank you cards and review requests for every order in her first year.
She also said that when there were staffing issues, she did every role herself, including making and delivering pizzas.

Anisa even said she worked for her pizza business while working in management consulting.
She would work from Bombay Pizza, take client calls on mute, and make the kitchen go silent when it was her turn to speak.
The owner even moved to Japan on her own but continued to run her UK business.
Bombay Pizza opened in Stafford Road, Wallington, during the pandemic, and has grown in popularity since Anisa’s appearance on the BBC reality show.
The Italian-Indian fusion restaurant, which combines curries and pizzas, now has another branch in Kingston and three more opening soon.

Anisa said on her TikTok post: “I’m just glad we survived.”
As a slideshow of images showing Anisa’s journey from the beginning of her business to now play, a caption written by her reads: “This journey has taught me: You don’t need it all figured out.
“Just start, stay obsessed and back yourself – even when no one else does.”
She goes on to say how she managed to beat 80,000 applicants to get on The Apprentice, made it to the final, received five-star reviews, and pitched her business on national TV.
While the show aired, she launched a whole new business, Bombay Pizza by post, in just two weeks, which has already made six figures.
The TikTok post, which has more than 40,000 views and nearly 3,000 likes, ends with Anisa saying: “I lived my life whilst building my business and it’s insane how far it’s come.
“From side hustle to now multiple locations.
“What do you think was the wildest part?”
Her TikTok account, SliceofAnisa, has more than 800,000 likes, with some videos reaching 1.5 million views.
