Fee Mak, who hosts a Sunday morning show on the station, has joined Your Place as a patron.
Your Place is a charity which supports homeless people by providing accommodation, as well as personalised support.
The charity says it is committed to ending homelessness for each individual that comes through its doors.
Fee, who was born and raised in Newham, said: “Homelessness is a major issue that deserves our attention, especially here in Newham.
“Since my secondary school days, volunteering and giving back have always been close to my heart.
“I’m honoured to support the vital work Your Place is doing to empower people and change lives in my community.”
Your Place says it is thrilled to have the radio presenter on board.
Amanda Dubarry, its chief executive, said: “The impact of Fee’s support has already been significant, and her genuine commitment to support those affected by homelessness, combined with her Newham roots, make her the perfect advocate for the work of Your Place.
“We’re excited about what this partnership brings.”
