The open-air summer picnic concerts will be held on the August bank holiday weekend, from August 23 to 25.
As part of Wandsworth’s London Borough of Culture 2025 celebrations, the event will feature three new outdoor concerts against the backdrop of Battersea Park.
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will perform “Symphonic Disco” and “A Night at the Movies,” both conducted by Pete Harrison.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will also perform, supported by UK jazz talent.
Symphonic Disco will kick off the weekend on Saturday, August 23, with a full disco band and special guest singers reimagining disco classics.
The Royal Philharmonic will perform hits from artists such as ABBA, Earth Wind & Fire, and Dua Lipa.
Ronnie Scott’s resident soulstress Natalie Williams and her band will open the event.
On Sunday, August 24, the Royal Philharmonic will take the audience on a journey through iconic movie music in “A Night at the Movies,” culminating in a fireworks finale.
The orchestra will perform pieces from Star Wars, Inception, Harry Potter, Pirates of The Caribbean, and more.
Support will come from Matt Ford, celebrating songs from Broadway to Hollywood.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will perform on Monday, August 25.
Special guests will include Chris Difford, Louise Marshall, Sumudu Jayatilaka, and blues guitar prodigy Toby Lee.
The afternoon will feature performances by UK jazz artists, including YolanDa Brown and Marvin Muoneké.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic or pre-book gourmet picnic hampers.
There will also be curated pop-ups offering food and drink.
Exclusive upgrades such as Gold Circle and the Diamond VIP Experience will be available.
Both offer superior comfort and convenience, with the Diamond VIP Experience providing access to a private VIP garden with luxury toilets.
Kids will also have a range of free activities to enjoy each day in the Kids Tipiland.
Battersea Park in Concert is part of Wandsworth’s 2025 London Borough of Culture programme.
The event will provide discounted entrance tickets as part of its commitment to the Wandsworth Council programme.
