Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters tackled the blaze in Barrington Road, Lambeth at 8.05am today (January 21).
Two flats on the fifth and sixth floors were completely destroyed by fire.

Over 20 people were evacuated from the building and four children were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The brigade’s Control Office took the first of 23 calls about the fire at 0805 and sent fire crews from Brixton, Clapham, Peckham, and other surrounding fire stations to the scene.
The fire was under control just after 9.30am.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
